Our Mission

Faith In Action Fund is deeply committed to building power in communities of color, in driving systemic change in our electoral system and holding elected officials accountable to the communities they serve. In addition to voter engagement and narrative change focused on gubernatorial, congressional, sheriff and prosecutorial races, the Fund is working to raise awareness about the policies and practices that feed the mass deportation machine and the carceral system.

Faith in Action Fund was incorporated in January 2012 as a 501(c)4 social welfare organization to support and engage people of faith in efforts to eliminate poverty, promote civic engagement and participation, and increase economic opportunity in the United States.

What We Do

Engagement

Expand access to the ballot box by fighting restrictive voting laws.

Reimagine the formula that governs the voting industry through our innovative strategy, centering people of color in voter engagement programs so that every person has the right to vote and that every vote has equal power.

Empowering

Help people of faith in states and cities organize and develop their power to hold elected officials accountable as they represent their constituents’ common good.

Close the race and age gap in voting participation rates.
